Overview
Founded in 1955 as the medical school of Yeshiva University, Albert Einstein College of Medicine quickly established itself as a leading center for medical education and biomedical research in the United States. Named after the renowned physicist who permitted use of his name, the college has been a pioneer in genetics, cancer research, immunology, and neuroscience. In 2015, Einstein merged with Montefiore Health System, strengthening its clinical training capacity while continuing to operate as a distinguished research-intensive medical school.
