Overview
Alliant International University traces its roots to 1952 and was formed through the 2001 merger of United States International University and California School of Professional Psychology, one of the first freestanding schools of professional psychology in the nation. Headquartered in San Diego with additional California campuses, Alliant has built a national reputation for training clinical psychologists, marriage and family therapists, and educators through practitioner-oriented doctoral and master's programs. The university is best known for its psychology programs, which have produced a significant share of licensed psychologists in California.
