Overview
California University of Science and Medicine (CalMed) was founded in 2015 and welcomed its inaugural class in 2018, making it one of the newest allopathic medical schools in the United States. Based in Colton, California, the university was established to address physician shortages in the Inland Empire and other underserved regions of Southern California. It quickly earned full accreditation from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) and has built a reputation for a rigorous, integrated curriculum combined with strong community health and service orientation.
