Overview
Founded in 1968 as the School of Urban and Public Affairs and later renamed in honor of Senator John Heinz, Heinz College is one of Carnegie Mellon University's constituent graduate schools, renowned for pioneering the integration of data analytics with public policy and management education. It was among the first institutions to systematically apply quantitative and technological approaches to public administration, and it now houses two schools: the School of Public Policy and Management and the School of Information Systems and Management.
