Overview
Founded in 1819, Centre College is one of the oldest liberal arts colleges in the United States and among the most selective in the South. Located in Danville, Kentucky, it has built a national reputation for rigorous undergraduate education, high rates of graduate and professional school placement, and a study abroad program in which nearly all students participate. Centre gained national visibility as the host site of the 2000 and 2012 U.S. Vice Presidential Debates.
