Overview
Founded in 1970, the Community College of Denver was established to provide open-access higher education to the residents of the Denver metropolitan area, including many first-generation and nontraditional students. CCD is known for its innovative developmental education programs, workforce training partnerships, and strong transfer agreements with four-year institutions across Colorado. It shares the Auraria Campus with the University of Colorado Denver and Metropolitan State University of Denver, giving students access to shared resources in a unique tri-institutional setting.
