Overview
Cooper Medical School of Rowan University was established in 2012 as a partnership between Rowan University and Cooper University Health Care, becoming the first new medical school in New Jersey in over three decades. Located in Camden, one of the nation's most underserved urban areas, CMSRU was founded with a mission to train physicians committed to community health, primary care, and addressing healthcare disparities. The school has quickly built a reputation for its integrated, patient-centered curriculum and strong ties to Cooper University Hospital, a major regional trauma and academic medical center.
