Overview
Founded in 1887, Florida A&M University is a historically Black land-grant institution located in Tallahassee, Florida. It has grown into the largest HBCU in the nation by enrollment and is consistently ranked as the top public HBCU in the country. FAMU is particularly celebrated for its School of Business and Industry, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and its journalism and engineering programs, and it produces more Black students who go on to earn PhDs in STEM fields than almost any other institution.
