Overview
Founded in 1908 through the bequest of Benjamin Franklin's trust fund, the institution was established as the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology to provide practical technical education to Boston's working-class residents. In 2021, following a partnership and merger with Cummings Properties, the school was renamed Franklin Cummings Tech, reflecting a renewed investment in facilities and program expansion.
