Overview

Founded in 2018 as a partnership between Hackensack Meridian Health and Seton Hall University, the School of Medicine emerged from the earlier Seton Hall-Hackensack Meridian Health School of Medicine initiative and represents one of the newest MD-granting institutions in the United States. It was created to address physician shortages and to pioneer a humanistic, technology-enabled approach to medical education, quickly earning attention for its emphasis on empathy, communication skills, and personalized learning alongside rigorous science training. Though young, it is fully accredited by the LCME and has rapidly built a reputation for innovative curriculum design.
