Overview
Founded as an extension of the renowned Hazelden Foundation's addiction treatment legacy, the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies was established to provide rigorous academic training grounded in evidence-based practice and the Twelve Step tradition. Following the 2014 merger of Hazelden and the Betty Ford Center, the school became part of the larger Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, gaining national recognition as a leading institution devoted exclusively to addiction counseling education. It is best known for producing highly qualified addiction and co-occurring disorder counselors who go on to work in treatment centers, hospitals, and private practice across the country.
