Overview
Founded in 1833, Kalamazoo College is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Michigan and among the earliest liberal arts colleges established in the Midwest. It has built a strong national reputation for its academically rigorous curriculum and its distinctive K-Plan, which encourages students to study abroad, complete internships or externships, and undertake a Senior Individualized Project (SIP) as capstone research. The college is consistently recognized for its high rate of student participation in international study, with a majority of students studying abroad in dozens of countries.
