Overview

Founded in 1846 by the Evangelical Church, Mount Union College (renamed the University of Mount Union in 2010) is one of Ohio's oldest private institutions of higher education. Located in Alliance, Ohio, the university built its reputation on a broad liberal arts foundation combined with pre-professional programs, and it has long been recognized for its business, education, and science programs. Over time it has grown into a comprehensive university offering undergraduate and select graduate degrees while maintaining a small, teaching-focused culture.
