Overview
Founded in 1910 as a women's teacher training school, Radford University has evolved into a comprehensive public institution serving students from across Virginia and beyond. Located in the New River Valley near the Blue Ridge Mountains, Radford built its reputation on education, nursing, and health sciences, later expanding into business, media, and the arts. In 2018, Radford merged with the Jefferson College of Health Sciences, strengthening its offerings in nursing, physical therapy, and other clinical fields.
