Overview
Founded in 1851 by the Society of Jesus, Saint Joseph's University is one of the oldest Catholic and Jesuit universities in the United States. It has built a strong reputation for its Haub School of Business, one of the earliest business schools founded on Jesuit principles, and for pairing professional preparation with a rigorous liberal arts core. In 2022, SJU merged with University of the Sciences, expanding its offerings in pharmacy, health sciences, and STEM fields.
