Overview
Founded in 1895 by Benedictine monks, Saint Martin's University is the only Catholic Benedictine institution of higher learning in the Pacific Northwest. Located in Lacey, Washington, adjacent to the historic Saint Martin's Abbey, the university has grown from a small boys' school into a comprehensive university offering undergraduate and graduate degrees. It is particularly recognized for its School of Engineering, one of the few ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering programs in the region offered at a small private university.
