Overview
Founded in 1949 as the Graduate School of Industrial Administration (GSIA), the Tepper School of Business was renamed in 2004 following a major gift from alumnus David Tepper. The school played a foundational role in shaping modern management science, with faculty including Nobel laureates Herbert Simon and Merton Miller helping to pioneer operations research, behavioral economics, and finance theory as applied to business education. Tepper is consistently ranked among the top business schools in the world, particularly recognized for its analytics, finance, and quantitative marketing programs.
