Overview
Texas College was founded in 1894 by members of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, making it one of the oldest historically Black colleges in Texas. Located in Tyler, the institution has maintained a mission of providing quality higher education to students, many of whom are first-generation college attendees, within a nurturing and faith-informed environment.
