Overview
Founded in 1852 by Christian Universalists on a hill straddling Medford and Somerville, Massachusetts, Tufts has evolved from a small liberal arts college into a major private research university. It is especially renowned for The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, one of the world's oldest and most prestigious graduate schools of international affairs, as well as strong programs in biomedical sciences, engineering, and international relations at the undergraduate level.
