Overview
Founded in 1971 as the University of South Florida College of Medicine, the school was renamed in 2011 following a major philanthropic gift from businessman Frank Morsani. It has grown into a nationally recognized medical institution, particularly noted for its move into a state-of-the-art downtown Tampa campus in 2020, part of the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Heart Institute building, which integrates clinical, research, and educational space.
