Overview
Founded in 1845, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is one of the oldest continuously operating universities in Texas and is affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Originally established as a women's college, it became fully coeducational in 1971 and has since grown into a comprehensive university offering undergraduate and graduate degrees. UMHB is best known for its nursing, education, business, and Christian studies programs, as well as its strong athletic tradition.
