Overview
Founded in 1913, the S.J. Quinney College of Law is the law school of the University of Utah and the state's oldest law school. It was renamed in honor of Salt Lake City attorney S.J. Quinney following a major gift from his family. The college has built a strong regional and national reputation, particularly in environmental and natural resources law, health law and policy, and litigation, and consistently places graduates in judicial clerkships, government service, and private practice throughout the Mountain West and beyond.
