The University of Washington College of the Environment was established in 2009, consolidating several interdisciplinary environmental programs that had been operating at UW for decades. It brought together the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences, School of Environmental and Forest Sciences, School of Marine and Environmental Affairs, and the Program on the Environment under one college dedicated to addressing complex environmental challenges.
